COLLEGE STATION (Real Estate Center) – Texas non-farm employment rose 2 percent from November 2006 to November 2007 compared with a 1 percent annual growth rate for the nation as a whole.  

The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 4.7 percent in November 2006 to 4.2 percent in November 2007.  

Higher oil prices continue to help the state’s oil

I am looking at 4 articles in the Austin American Statesman today that just give me a headache trying to figure out is up down or down up?  And I am in the real estate business. Front page, bold print, "Oil Hits Record $100 a barrel".  Well trust me, that will have some impact on manufacturing, transportation, and life in general...Mainly prices going up.  So now some are hollering, "Inflation, Inflation!"  And some of that is true.  But you know, Texas has always faired pretty well in the "Oil Business".  Front page business section, "Fears of spiraling credit crisis loomed over last Fed meeting"

The Market is Back!!!...or is it just like predicting the weather?
