Well Spring is in the air, Easter came early, and everyone's allergies are just going wild.  I hope your day is soon to start well because mine has been just plain exciting!  My daughter-in-law, Ashly, is giving birth to my grandson ____?_____ Wade Wilson.  Oh what an exciting evening and morning.  As I write, it is about 5:30am, and I am in the family waiting room.  This is really special; my daughter, Lindsay, and her fiance, Brandon Currey, are asleep on the couch and floor in the waiting room.  Justin, Tiffany, and Linda (Ashly's Sister and Mom) are in the birthing room with Ashly.  Annette drew granddaughter

Well, I have thought that we could miss this downturn and run okay this year.  And I believe that we will have a very good spring and summer.  But..But..But, it is definitely changing.  I am going to send out several articles in the next 3 or 4 days that outlines a lot of things that impact us.  Please read them; they are informative, and your clients and friends will be asking you questions on these subjects.

I think I will talk about the real estate market 1st.  Well, it does not look like our market is improving.  For the 1st time since 2002 (in Georgetown), our active listings are over 600.  So far, this has not put pressure on prices downward, but if our market continues to build more inventory then it is still ECONOMICS 101: more inventory + less buyers = lower prices.  We do see more listings coming into the market this time of the year for the spring and summer selling season.  So maybe we are experiencing a little bit of a run up in the inventory for that reason.  The good news: Central Texas/Austin Metro Area/Williamson
